Adam has taught every undergraduate physics lab course offered at Gonzaga University, from introductory labs for health and non-science majors up to electronics and advanced lab for physics majors. He particularly enjoys diversifying the experimental offerings in his courses by building new apparatuses or adapting older ones. Adam earned his AB from Wabash College in 2009 and his PhD from Michigan State University in 2014.

Currently Adam is an Associate Professor of Physics at Gonzaga University, as well as an Adjunct Professor of Physics at Ohio University where he conducts research in nuclear astrophysics at the Edwards Accelerator Laboratory. He has long been a user of TeachSpin products, and has taken part in numerous Advanced Laboratory Physics Association (ALPhA) Immersions. He is currently a Consulting Editor at the American Journal of Physics and is the Vice Chair of the SPS-AAPT-ALPhA Undergraduate Award for Outstanding Laboratory Development Committee.
