Funding for the highly successful ALPhA Immersion program by the NSF has come to an end. Federal dollars will no longer pay the cost of this important faculty development program. The Foundation and ALPHA have decided to share in the cost of running these events. The Foundation, through the Synopsis/Reichert endowment, will contribute 50%, ALPhA 10%, and tuition will cover the remaining 40% of the cost. This is a historic agreement, where private funds will perpetually fund a physics education event that enhances experimental physics for undergraduate students.
